Katie has built a reputation by consulting with families and working hard to solve the challenges that arise with the complexity of infant feeding. Her extensive background in the fields of child development and women’s health has allowed her to make a career of her passion for helping women to better understand their bodies and guiding them to make healthy decisions for themselves and their children.

Katie participated in the Child Development program at Mills College and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Cal State Hayward with an emphasis in Women’s Health. She received her Master’s Degree in Maternal and Child Nutrition at the University of California at Davis. She also completed the UCSD Lactation Consultant Program and is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Katie continues to expand her knowledge as a member of a research team at UC Davis involved with qualitative studies of infant feeding.

Katie is also a certified Postpartum Doula (DONA), and worked with many new parents throughout the San Francisco bay area before moving to Nevada City. She is excited to continue working with families in Nevada County and to follow her passion wherever it may lead.
